Deposit and Balance Payments
A Deposit Payment of 30% of the total cost of the chosen tour per person per tour is required to confirm a reservation. This may be paid by bank wire transfer. As soon as we receive your reservation and deposit, we will confirm your booking by email.
The balance of the trip price is due 100 days prior to departure, payable by check or bank wire transfer. If the balance is not paid when due, Secret Sicily reserves the right to regard the reservation as canceled.
Cancellations and refunds
All cancellations of confirmed reservations are subject to a €200 per person administrative fee. Additionally, clients are subject to any cancellation fees assessed by the purveyors of services including hotels, private guides and private drivers, used in the itinerary. When you cancel a trip for verifiable circumstances, (please read our Limits on Responsibility in this page), we must ask you to notify us by writing us an email and it must be received within 30 days of the termination of your scheduled trip and be accompanied by supporting documentation. Exceptions to these policies cannot be made for any reason.
If you cancel your reservation over 120 days or more before the scheduled trip we will refund your deposit. If you cancel your reservation between 99-60 days before the scheduled trip, there will be a cancellation fee of 50% of the price of your scheduled trip. If you cancel your reservation between 59 days or less before the scheduled trip, there will be a cancellation fee of 100% of your scheduled program price. If unforeseen circumstances require a change to the trip itinerary, Secret Sicily will make every effort to select alternative hotels of the same standard and to keep modifications to a minimum.Secret Sicily reserves the right to cancel a trip for any reason. In such an instance, we will refund all payments received, which will constitute full settlement.
Any adjustment considered will be based on the actual price of the services involved and not on a per diem basis. Adjustments will not be made for unused sightseeing trips or meals.
Arrival and Departure
Each trip begins and ends in a town accessible by plane, train, boat or bus. Meeting and ending locations are listed on each of the individual trip pages in the catalog, as well as in your pre-departure information.
Limits on Responsibility
Secret Sicily does not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip. It purchases transportation services, hotel accommodations, restaurants, ground handling and other services from various independent suppliers.All such persons and entities are independent contractors. As a result, Secret Sicily is not liable for any negligent or willful act of any such person or entity or of any third person. Secret Sicily acts solely as agents for the client with respect to all transportation, hotel and other tour arrangements. In that capacity, Secret Sicily will take all reasonable care possible to ensure the traveler's safety and satisfaction, but, Secret Sicily neither assumes nor bears any responsibility or liability for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity arising in connection with the services or actions of any third-party involved in carrying the traveler or in affecting these tours. In addition Secret Sicily is not responsible for damages or any other losses due to cancellation, delay, weather or other changes in the listed tour's services. All such losses must be borne by the traveler and tour rates provide for arrangements only for the time stated.
